The downtown hospitality scene has become so adapted to the tourism of San Diego that most of the venues in the Gaslamp have lost the heart of good customer service. It is not my intention to say that tourism directly causes this, but you will find that if a customer comes to your spot and is not likely to come back because they are from out of town for lack of a better word laziness causes servers to not put forth the little extras that you would if you could create a repeat customer or regular. There are some good downtown spots however there are not so many known for superior customer service.

Taste and Thirst on fourth avenues concept is that one of the kind of place where you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door until you leave. Where most places are trying to have a quick turn over on tables and at the bar, we want you to stay as long as you would like, we see it as the longer you stay is a sign of how much you are enjoying yourself. Regardless if you are a local and plan to come back every day and enjoy a beer or if you are a family from out of town here on vacation and you are only going to have dinner here this once we want you to have the best most comfortable experience you can. Not only is the customer service you are going to receive at Taste and Thirst going to make you that comfortable, but the ambiance of this brand new gastro pub style bar and grill will definitely take your dining/drinking experience to a level of comfort some patrons may not even be familiar with.

Whether it’s a business meeting, birthday party, banquet, office party, rehearsal dinner, pub crawl, bachelor or bachelorette party you can rest assured that Taste and Thirst is committed to making your event the best it can be. We know and guarantee a higher quality of service and product. Thank you for your time we look forward to serving you.

    Sincerely,

    Joseph N. Preston
